Visiting the Preserves

FOLLOWING GUIDANCE FROM LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL AUTHORITIES, WE HAVE LIMITED PRESERVE ACCESS TO OUR PRESERVES AND EASEMENTS TO SFC STAFF ONLY. Please check back for further updates on the evolving Covid-19 situation.

Reminder: any unauthorized access to the preserves is considered trespassing. We thank you for your cooperation and patience!

Sierra Foothill Conservancy currently owns and stewards eight beautiful Preserves, totaling 6,441 acres of protected lands that were established to preserve and restore shrinking wildlife habitat, unique landscapes, and open space. These properties are owned by SFC and are only open to the public on scheduled event days in order to uphold the conservation values of our mission. Please read about each individual Preserve HERE to explore their unique stories and specialized features.

Facilitating public and especially member access to the Preserves is important to us. SFC works hard to balance conservation and stewardship, while still providing people direct access to the land. We host a wide variety of Hikes, Classes, and Open Preserve Days throughout the year to promote education and outdoor recreation; please visit our events page to plan your next outdoor adventure: https://sierrafoothill.org/events-listing/

Dog Policy

In order to protect endangered species and sensitive habitat, only service dogs are allowed on the Preserves, with the exception of the Stockton Creek Preserve in Mariposa where dogs are welcome at any time. Thank you for understanding.
