Our horseback expert, Molly Oliver will offer a 2 hour ride that will take you to the old water station for the SJ&E Railroad. Here, you will tie up your horses and explore the old building sites, including the first ever CalFire station! Although, most of the buildings have fallen, you can imagine what this would have looked like when it was a working station.
These rides have very limited capacity. You MUST be registered to attend, see registration below. If you are interested in other available times please see the Event Page for details and registration. Participants are also welcome to bring a lunch and eat on the preserve.
Horses and all equipment will be provided, including helmets. Participants may not bring their own horse. Molly is well versed in horse care, control, and safety. Open to ages 6 and up. The cost per person is $115, which includes the horse and equipment fee and a preserve donation which directly benefits the ongoing stewardship work of Sierra Foothill Conservancy. The fee is non-refundable and if participants must cancel the total amount paid will be considered a donation to SFC. Participant substitutions are encouraged versus cancellation.
