Join SFC Naturalist Ben Goger and UC Merced Mycology Grad Student, Chris Bivins, on a historic tour of the fascinating Quick “Ben Hur” Ranch in the rolling foothills between Mariposa and Raymond. This moderate, 2.5-3 mile round-trip hike will have a focus on the mycology (fungi) of the region. Be sure to bring a basket for collecting mushroom samples and a lunch!

Cost is $15 to Members, $25 per individual Non-Member or $20 Member and $30 Non-Member families. **NOTE: Please meet at the Quick Ranch Headquarters. A SFC representative will be waiting to greet you and sign you in, then the group will caravan to the easement site.

Participants are to stay with the group and are not allowed to leave early or wander away from the designated hike. We Ask That You Please Not Leave Anything Valuable In Your Vehicle. **

NOTES:

You must be registered for the hike to attend, we cannot accommodate walk-ons without advance notice or permission from SFC. Please ensure your registration information is accurate, we use both email and phone numbers to update participants to any hike changes or cancellations.

Participants are to stay with the group and are not allowed to leave early or wander away from the designated hike. If you need more flexibility, please consider visiting our Preserves during one of our Open Preserve Days. See the Events Calendar for dates.

No Dogs are allowed on our Preserves with the exception of documented Service Animals. Please see our Visiting the Preserves page for more detailed information!

Our Hikes are RAIN or SHINE – Sierra Foothill Conservancy regards the safety of our participants on our Preserves very highly so in the case of severe weather or the possibility of adverse impact on the land or the hike experience we reserve the right to cancel.
