Join Geologist and SFC Board Member, Craig Poole, and Archaeologist Sara Barnett for a hike to the top of Table Mountain to investigate the geology and cultural history of the Preserve. You will learn how geologists read rocks and landscapes to unravel the geologic history of an area and about the unique formation of the one-of-a-kind Table Mountains. You will also learn about the special place that people held over time in our area. This informative and beautiful venture is sure to make your day!

We have a very exciting group buyout option for each of these experiences. Make the event private for your friends and family and host as many people as you like (up to 15). For this option, be sure to register very early to secure the event for your group.
All in-person events will adhere to current CDC health and safety regulations.
No Dogs are allowed on our Preserves with the exception of documented Service Animals. Please see our Visiting the Preserves page for more detailed information!
Our Hikes are RAIN or SHINE – Sierra Foothill Conservancy regards the safety of our participants on our Preserves very highly so in the case of severe weather or the possibility of adverse impact on the land or the hike experience we reserve the right to cancel.
