Join SFC Docent Michael Ross for a tour of the Clark’s Valley Wildfire Hazard Reduction Project, conducted on 175 acres of the Anderson Conservation Easement. Forest management is critical in helping to protect local communities from catastrophic fires and preserve the ecological values of our lands. You will learn how Sierra Foothill Conservancy is working with local landowners to address the effects of wildfire hazard in our community. Although fire is often devastating to human communities, it is also a natural part of the Sierra ecosystem providing many benefits to natural systems. All ages and abilities welcome, bring a lunch, water and good walking shoes.

We have a very exciting group buyout option for each of these experiences. Make the event private for your friends and family and host as many people as you like (up to 15). For this option, be sure to register very early to secure the event for your group.

No Dogs are allowed on our Preserves with the exception of documented Service Animals. Please see our Visiting the Preserves page for more detailed information!
Our Hikes are RAIN or SHINE – Sierra Foothill Conservancy regards the safety of our participants on our Preserves very highly so in the case of severe weather or the possibility of adverse impact on the land or the hike experience we reserve the right to cancel.
