(CANCELLED) Yoga on the Discovery Trail

Enjoy a fun and active morning of yoga and hiking along the Discovery Trail. The Discovery Trail is an easy, mostly level hike of about 3-4 miles. During the hike, you will learn about some of the flora, fauna, and history that the McKenzie Preserve has to offer. You may also be able to spot various species of birds such as flickers, Western bluebirds, swifts, hawks, quail, woodpeckers and so many more!  After the hike, Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor, Linda Marie Hurst, will lead you in a wonderful 60 minute Yoga class.

The group will meet in the parking lot at 9:00 am to sign in. At 9:15 we will lock the gates and begin our adventure. Dress in layers. Bring plenty of water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, Yoga mat and your smile. (Loaner mats are available.)

Special Note:   Attendees for this event agree to participate in both hiking and Yoga, otherwise, please see our events calendar for additional outings involving only Yoga or only Hiking.

Cost for this docent led hike is FREE to Members, $10 per individual Non-Member.

• Participants are to stay with the group and are not allowed to leave early or wander away from the designated hike. If you need more flexibility, please consider visiting our Preserves during one of our Open Preserve Days. See the Events Calendar for dates. Though the gate will remain locked during the event, we ask that you please not leave anything valuable in your vehicle.
• No Dogs are allowed on our Preserves with the exception of documented Service Animals. Please see our Visiting the Preserves page for more detailed information!
• Our Events are RAIN or SHINE – Sierra Foothill Conservancy regards the safety of our participants on our Preserves very highly so in the case of severe weather or the possibility of adverse impact on the land or the hike experience we reserve the right to cancel.
• One of the conditions of your participation does specifically release Sierra Foothill Conservancy, hold harmless as the owners of the property, and any of its employees or agents representing or related to hikes, classes, or projects offered by Sierra Foothill Conservancy while on the Property from any claims or liabilities of any kind whatsoever, arising from or related to my participation in these activities.
