Join Nate Moore for the one of several trail runs designed to get you moving while getting to know several of SFC’s Preserves! Designed to train for upcoming 5K or 10K races, Nate will lead the group of runners to the Summit of Black Mountain and back down.

NOTE: All abilities welcome.  These trail runs will always include a 5K and 10K option, so upon arrival, folks can choose which group to be a part of. There will be at least three leaders at each run to help keep the groups together. Runners are free to leave when they’re done running.

Cost is FREE to Members, $10 per individual Non-Member or $20 for Non-Member Households. Join Sierra Foothill Conservancy TODAY and be able to attend as many hikes and classes during our season for free, plus many other member benefits. JOIN HERE Your support as a member is essential to our ability to preserve our precious Sierra Foothills in perpetuity. After all…forever is a long time.

Register early as spots are limited.

Please meet at the Park N Ride at the T Intersection of Highway 168 and Lodge Road at 9 AM. You’ll see our SFC Vehicle and participants will caravan up the mountain road. This is a difficult to navigate rough road with ruts, rocks and sharp curves. We recommend carpooling in a 4WD or higher clearance vehicle.

NOTES:

You must be registered for the hike to attend, we cannot accommodate walk-ons without advance notice or permission from SFC. Please ensure your registration information is accurate, we use both email and phone numbers to update participants to any hike changes or cancellations.

Participants are to stay with the group and are not allowed to leave early or wander away from the designated hike. If you need more flexibility, please consider visiting our Preserves during one of our Open Preserve Days. See the Events Calendar for dates. Though the gate will remain locked during the event, we ask that you please not leave anything valuable in your vehicle.

No Dogs are allowed on our Preserves with the exception of documented Service Animals. Please see our Visiting the Preserves page for more detailed information!

Our Hikes are RAIN or SHINE – Sierra Foothill Conservancy regards the safety of our participants on our Preserves very highly so in the case of severe weather or the possibility of adverse impact on the land or the hike experience we reserve the right to cancel.
