mckenzie-by-michael-hillOPEN PRESERVE DAY FOR VETERANS, MILITARY, POLICE & FIRE SERVICE PERSONNEL!

Veterans, current military, Police & Fire personnel and their families are all invited to experience the beauty of the McKenzie Preserve. Come walk the lower Discovery Trail, hike to the top of the tables for amazing views, or explore on your own. Bring your lunch and have a picnic under the shady oaks, enjoy the fresh air and take in the sights!

In the outdoor amphitheater you will be able to meet some of Sierra Foothill Conservancy’s Wildlife Ambassadors. Cat Krosschell from Birds of Prey will be showcasing local birds of prey in her very engaging wildlife presentations. You definitely don’t want to miss this!

Parking is limited so carpooling is highly encouraged.

The preserve is an undeveloped 2,960 acre ranch, so be sure to bring lunch/snacks and plenty of water for hiking.

  • There are porta-potties on site.
  • No pets are allowed on the preserve.

There is no cost to attend this event.
